Review of The Free Music Match Juke Box Media Player

• In the "Look In Field", choose either a local hard drive to search, or a network drive, or choose All Drives to search both local and network drives for music files.

• Choose All folders, or click the "Browse" button to find a specific folder your music is in.

• Check the appropriate boxes to look for either window media files or MP3 files and click "OK" to begin your search.

• The files found will be added to your music match library.

2) How to Create a Playlist And Listen to MP3 And WAV Files - Open the Music Library by clicking on the "My Library" tab on your music match player - or follow this menu path from the musicmatch tool bar: > View/My Library

Once your in the music match library, double-click on a track and it will be added to the Playlist and start to play. Add as many tracks as you’d like. To add tracks from your hard drive, open the folder on your hard drive where you keep music files (for example; your MP3 or WAV files). Double click the file to add it in, or drag and drop each file into the Playlist.

Note: Adding files to the Playlist does not add them to your musicmatch library. To add them automatically, go to Options/Settings/General, and under the "When double-clicking local music files" section, check the box "Add to Music Library."

3) How to Rip (Record) MP3s, WAV, or Media Files Using Music Match Recorder - Using the music match Recorder and your music CDs, you can encode your own MP3, WAV and Windows Media files to create a huge online music library.

To begin recording click the Red "Record" button on the music match player, or follow this menu path from the musicmatch tool bar: > Options/Settings/Recorder

Note: The first time you record, the music match juke box will go through an initialization process which is a quick (less than a minute) one-time process.

• Insert an audio CD in your CD-ROM drive.

• Music match uses a "CD Lookup" program that will read your CD and attempt to fill in Album, Artist, and Track (Tag) information. If CD Lookup does not find this information, you can manually enter in the tag information.

• Check the boxes next to the tracks that you wish to record, and click the Record button.

• The music match juke box will start to record from the audio CD, to digital file.

• At the bottom of the Recorder window you'll see a progress indicator that lets you know when your recording is 100% complete. Note: The track will Automatically be added to your Music Library.

Tip: While recording you will see a Green , Yellow , or Red stripe beneath the progress indicator that tells you the recording status of your track. Green means the track is being recorded at its optimal level and if Yellow, the track may have flaws like 'clicks' and if Red, the track is recording at very poor quality and may not complete.

4) How to Burn Music, MP3 And Data CDs - Here's how to create audio CDs that play in standard CD players:

• Create a Playlist (step 2 above) of the tracks you'd like to Burn to CD.

• Click the "Burn" button (CDR on some skins). Note: Be sure you have CD-R media in your CD-ROM drive).

• In the Create CD from Playlist window, click the "Create CD" button and your CD will be made.

5) How to Change The Skin (Look) of Your Music Match Jukebox - To instantly change the appearance of your music match juke box, follow this menu path from the musicmatch tool bar: > View/Change Skin

From the Change Skin screen, you can select from a choice of skins which were included with your music match download. Go ahead and try them all to see which skin you like the best. To change the skin click on the description, then click OK. Also, if you want to download new music match skins, follow this menu path from the musicmatch tool bar: > View/Download Skins

• A new window will open to a special Skins pages on the Internet. Note: You need to an Internet connection to download the skins.

• Select a new Skin, and click the Download link.

• The Skin will download and install automatically to your music match juke box.

6) How to Send Music to a MP3 Player - You can download individual tracks, or a Playlist directly to your portable MP3 player either automatically or by dragging and dropping them onto the device. To send music to your portable MP3 player, follow this menu path from the musicmatch tool bar: > File/Send to Portable Device

Note: You may need install a music match "plug-in" for your portable MP3 player for it to be properly "supported". To download plug-ins, go to the music match menu Options/Add New Features. Once the launched Internet browser has loaded, click on the "Portable MP3 Players" button, then click on the Player you own. The plug-in automatically downloads and installs instantly for you.

How to download music to your portable MP3 player using musicmatch:

• Connect your MP3 player to your computer as instructed by the portable MP3 player's manufacturer.

• From the music match File menu, select "Send to Portable Device." The Portable Device Manager (PDM) will open. After a moment, it will display your attached device, select your portable mp3 player from the list provided.

• Next, click the "Options" button, then the "Synchronization" tab, and choose "Selected playlist synchronization," or "Complete Library synchronization."

• If you choose to synchronize a playlist, check the box next to one or more playlists, then click OK.

• Click the "Sync" button to update your device with the Music Library, or selected playlists. Click Eject to take your device with you.

Tip: The amount of memory on your portable MP3 player determines how much music it can hold. So be aware that if you choose to synchronize your entire music Library, your mp3 player may not have enough capacity to store that amount of music.
